Troy Shelton, Occupational Therapist, Certified Hand Therapist, and Alternative Medicine Practitioner of Better Medicine Better Life, was recently selected as Occupational Therapist of the Decade by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for her outstanding leadership, dedication and commitment to the field of Occupational therapy and Alternative medicine.
While inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only 1 Occupational Therapist is selected for this distinction. Troy is being recognized for having almost three decades of professional experience as a talented and passionate Alternative Medicine Practitioner. Troy has demonstrated impressive areas of expertise in many skill sets to include hand therapy, orthotic fabrication, ergonomics, reposturing, use of both dynamic and kinesiotape for orthopedic and sports injuries, cumulative trauma, and nerve pain, graston technique for both upper and lower extremities, functional medicine, energy medicine to include both the Body Code and Emotion Code, ADHD, austim, spinal cord and amputees, general rehabilitation as well as utilization of redox technologies, stem cell therapies, bioresonance and body scan technologies, light therapy, and terahertz frequency treatments.
Troy’s practice provides comprehensive hand therapy treatment and evaluations, manual therapy and reposturing dynamics, functional medicine consultations, customized fitness and nutrition programs, blood and functional medicine labs, Redox and light therapy technologies, frequency medicine, Emotion Code and Body Code sessions to include heart wall clearings, chakra clearings, immune boosting sessions, and total body systems evaluations that incorporate resonance scan technologies.

It is a complete evaluation of the body performed by proxy over the telephone or in person if you are local. This comprehensive evaluation includes testing for the presence of structural imbalances, low-grade pathogens, nutritional imbalances, toxins, all organ and gland circuits, trapped emotions, and the Heart-Wall. We will also determine how well your immune system is functioning, how well your brain is communicating with your organs and glands and how well your heart is communicating with the rest of your body. “I had never experienced energy work before but was always intrigued and open to trying it.
After meeting Troy who was so incredibly knowledgeable in many areas of health and wellness I decided to try some sessions with her.
First we worked on clearing toxins from my body which I found to be unbelievably powerful and I noticed differences in my overall health quickly after our sessions.
I then decided the next step would be to do a heart wall session. I was in a place in my life where I was content, happy and my overall personal development and healing, I felt had brought me to this place. However I knew my past failed relationships and traumas from divorce needed to be addressed.
After 2-3 sessions of heart wall clearing and talking with Troy about what final few things I was holding onto, so much weight was lifted for me.
Within a month after clearing and removing my entire heart wall I traveled solo to Mexico for my 40th birthday and met a man that I have completely fallen for and have the deepest connection too! I also just bought a new car and my business is flourishing.
